The City & Guilds College Union is launching its flagship hardware makeathon, challenging students to design and build engineering solutions under extreme conditions.

From early concepts to hands-on prototyping, this is a fast-paced, team-based event where engineers from all disciplines come together to build, test, and learn.

Whether you are joining the makeathon or just curious to learn, everyone is welcome at the skill-building sessions.

VCS (Vereinigung der Studierenden der Chemie) from ETH Zürich and Imperial ChemEngSoc are having a collaborative Exchange Tour in 2026!

Join us in discovering new cultures, make lifelong friends, and expand your horizons with our exciting Exchange Trip.

We will be hosting guests from ETH Zurich during late February 2026 to tour around the department, campus, and London. We will then have the Imperial ChemEngSoc return trip to Zurich, hosted by VCS in the beginning of Easter Break 2026!

As hosts, you will be invited to join many of our planned group activities around London and food socials too. Also, you will be prioritised to be selected as participants for the heavily subsidised return trip to Zürich, to explore the ETH campus, attractions in the city and company visits to Sika AG and Metrohm!
